    Sink REALLY Clogged!
Our kitchen sink drain has been "slow" ever since we've bought the house last April. However over the last week or so, it has almost completely stopped draining at all (and the water is smelly) I have had just a friend come over and snake it previously, but I got desperate today and decided that I would try it again and I also tried one of those Drain Bladder things tonight and low and behold here comes water shooting out of the pipe on the roof ? I have accepted defeat and am willing to call a plumber, but in the meantime (so I don't get totally ripped off) I would like to know what it could possibly be. Any ideas... anyone... please??

"low and behold here comes water shooting out of the pipe on the roof."
This indicates that you have a blockage in the drain line downstream from the sanitary tee. The solution is to snake the kitchen roof vent. Put out enough cable to reach the base and about 20 feet more. After, flush the line with hot water. Good luck, Tom
