    2004 Ford explorer problems with brake lights staying on
    We disconnected the brake switch, but the brake lights still remained on.. . Any suggestions?

    My Jeep did the same thing a few winters ago when it got really cold and snowy. The problem is inside the cab. The water from my boots got moisture into the brake switch and since it was so cold the switch literally froze. All my mechanic did was dry out the switch and plug it back in.

    Unplug Brake switch on Brake pedal, see if lights went out.
    May need Adjusting, Spraying or replaced.
