    f1 to permanent resident
    Hi
My mother recently won the green card lottery.
A present I am in the US with a F1 visa. I heard that For the interviews I would have to go back to my motherland .
However, I also heard that the interviews can be done in USA. But I am not sure about the procedure and information regarding this fact is very little.
It would be great if someone would help me with information.
    Thank you

Your mother must notify in writing to the US embassy that you are currently in US with F-1 visa, then they will arrange the interview be conducted at the nearest office. Remember, your F-1 must be valid or you won't be eligible.
