    Washington child support step father
I'm considering a divorce from my wife of 3 years (been living together for about 5yrs). I live in WA state. She has three children from previous marriage and relationships, none are my own. The bio-fathers pay some child support, but it's been quite flakey over the years. My wife is unemployed and now going to school (2 year program, 1.5 years left) and collecting unemployment based on her "re-training" benefits from the State. I've never agreed to be a single income home and this is one of our issues among many. What am I looking at for support/maintenance should she decide to request support... am I responsible for someone else's kids? Since she's in school and unemployed, am I expected to pay maintenance even though this is one of our issues that is causing our marriage to fail? I'm completely willing to support the kids as they deserve that regardless of our issues, but obviously I'd prefer that to be done out of love and not a financial requirement from the courts. Please help, thank you.

You should not have to pay any child support but yes you can expect to have to pay spousal support or maintenance, perhaps even furnish health insurance for a period. And if her not working is one of the issue, why is she not willing to go to work
