2006 Dodge Mega cab breaks squeal
I have a 2006 dodge mega cab 1500. My breaks squeal when I stop the sound can be annoying sometimes I checked the break pad's and they are all good and there is no foreign object's stuck on are around the callipers the problem is they don't squeal all the time. When I took the truck in to the dealership for my oil change I told them the problem and they said that it was just build up of break dust and that it was normal for them to squeal.I would just like to get some more opinion's on this what do you think about this?

Have the brake pads been replaced? If so, the new pads may have not been compounded the same and are now squealing. Replace organic pads with organics, not semi-metallics.

Another possibility is that the shims are squealing. Apply Squeak Relief, or similar compound, to the back of the shims.

Did the dealer mention anything about the condition or the brake rotors? Excessive glazing or scoring can cause any pad to begin making noise.

Change Thermostat on 2003 Dodge Quad Cab [ 1 Answers ]

Has anyone had to change a thermostat on a 4.7L Dodge Pickup? Even when my truck has warmed up, the air still blows cold. When you rev the engine, then the air will get warm for a few seconds and then blow cold again. Also, where is the thermostat located?
