    Summons from credit card
    I received a summons from my credit card, This is a card that I enrolled into a debt reduction company, that was supposed to be working with the cc company to lower my debt. What should I write in my answer? Do I request valadation? Just to see if they can? Or what?

    Yes, you request proof of the debt. What does the debt consolidation company say?

    Creditors do NOT have to work with consolidation companies, by the way - although it appears that you already know that.

    When do I request this proof? And by that does it mean the original contract that I signed back in 1998? The consolidation co says to reply to the summons and state to the court and cc that I am willing to pay a percentage.
