    Social security disability judgments
My younger brother and I have just received a favorable judgement from SSA for death benefits of our deceased brother, back dated to his original disability application date until the month before he pasted away. What are the financial considerations and how are they determined? Is there some rule about subtracting 5 months of pay from the final disbursement?
