    No, there are not UNLESS the mother has a Court Order for support which the father did not pay. The father would owe all of the back support. If there is no such Order, no, there is no legal recourse for the mother/child.

    It was up to the mother, when the child was under age, to pursue the father.

    First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. Especially when that thread is over 2 years old. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

    Second, it is not a good idea to post personal info on a public site, so your e-mail address was removed.

    The only legal right an adult child might have from their bio father is the right of inheritance. And even that can be taken away of the father refuses to acknowledge the child in a will.

    Child support is paid by the non custodial parent to the custodial parent on the basis of a court order. Without a court order for support the non custodial parent is not legally bound to pay.

    If a support order was issued but not paid in full, then the custodial parent can pursue back support. Once an adult, the child has no right for support.
