    Carrier 376B Blower runs continuously
I have a 376B Furnace and the blower is now running continuously. I found on another thread that this could be the Circuit Board. Is that the same as the "Carrier Inducer Control Board " which I find listed on the parts list. Any other suggestions that I could try first? How do I know if this will fix the problem before I buy the part?

This condition usually results from an open limit device. Does the unit heat? If so, it may be the board. If not, check limit devices for continuity.

Thanks KC13.. I forgot to mention that the furnace does heat, the thermostat is working etc. The only problem is that the blower won't stop running even when the heater hasn't been on for many minutes. I guess I will order the circuit board and try that because the broken/burned out capacitor (or whatever it is) on the board seems to be a problem.

I found the board and if you look at the picture here http://shortyshvac.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=415 , one of the light blue cylinders with the stripes is the part that's cracked.

Unless I am missing something what you are referring to is a resistor and it should not be cracked but without seeing yours exactly it is dificult to say. Without being able to test your board I hate to tell you to replace it but it is a good possibility it is defective. The small relays built into the board could have welded the contacts and this would allow the blower to run all the time.
