    Diagnose pulsating water noise
Two days ago I started hearing what sounded like dripping water. It is constant at about 1 second intervals. The sound is traveling through the water pipes as it can be heard in our bathrooms and kitchen. I can feel the vibration in the cold water line but not the hot. I have tried shutting off the valves at the toilets and sinks one at a time but that doesn't seem to resolve the problem. The water also is pulsating. Could this be a PRV problem. It sure has me baffled. Any help would be appreciated!

Feel around the PRV valve. Is the vibration stronger there? If not then where? Back to you, Tom

When I got home last night, I checked the water lines. No noise, no vibrations! It continues to be quiet today after having been continuous for two days. It's like taking your car to the mechanic and all of a sudden there is no more "funny sound". If it starts back, I will check out the strongest vibration location and get back with you. Thanks!
