Contacting a child after giving up parental rights
My wife's ex gave up his parental right and agreed to let me adopt him. Does he have any legal rights to contact my wife and my son. We live in NJ and her ex live in PA. My son is now 15 and he gave up his rights when he was 8.

He can call you and ask to talk to your son, but you don't have to let him.

Is he threatening or harassing you?

What kind of adoption was it ? Often times there are open adoptions given and it does allow for some contact. So knowing what type of adoption it was will help with a solid answer.
