Unemployment on what grounds - that you don't have transportation?

We need more information about your situation. Did you wreck your vehicle while working? Does your contract say anything about a company vehicle or the company's insurance covering your vehicle during work hours?

If you cannot afford another car, that is not your employer's fault. They are not firing you, you are quitting because of your circumstances. I don't see you being allowed to collect unemployment under those circumstances.

Find out about the insurance. Was the car totalled when you wrecked, or can you just not afford to have it repaired? Their insurance may a)pay for the repair or b)pay you for the value of the car so you can buy another or at least put a down payment on one.

Workman's comp I can see you getting because you were injured while working. However, it's not the company's fault that you don't have transportation which is why I don't see unemployment being paid.

    Hello aj:

If owning a car was a condition of your employment, then you need a car, or you are in violation of your agreement with your employer. They didn't fire you or lay you off. Those are the only reasons you can collect.
