Hi,

Myself and my fiancé are currently on Fresh Talent Visas which are due to expire in two months.We will be getting married before the expiration of our visas. She is due to apply for the tier 1 general visa which is eligible for. We both work and live in the UK but have been told by the Home Office I will need to go back to my home country to apply as a dependent on her if I intend remaining in the uk.

My questions are: Is there any other way I can apply to remain with her here in the UK without necessarily going back to my home country to apply for entry clearance?

Also the home office describes dependants as people financially dependent on their sponsors - Spouce, Parent etc, But I am not financially dependent onmy wife to be so Does this rule really apply to me?
