    Generally you will need knowledge of the following:

    Advanced HTML and CSS
    Some sort of Client Side Scripting (JAVA)
    Some sort of Server Side Scripting (PHP, Perl)

    Good page layout skills.

    The better you are at these, and the more languages you know, the better you will be at your job, and the more efficient you will be.
