    It really depends on baby.

What kind of solids are you feeding her? At this age the books and doctors recommend pablum, usually a few teaspoons, twice a day.

I followed the books to the letter with my first child. Every step I took was based on the books. It drove me nuts, drove my husband nuts and drove my poor son nuts. I learned early on to trust my instincts.

When my daughter was born I never even bother with baby food sold at the market. No more Gerber, no more pablum, I did it old school. Whatever we ate, she ate, only mushed up so she could tolerate it.

Once she had teeth she got what we got, smaller amounts, chopped up, but the same foods.

It really is up to you. If your child is still hungry after 3 tsps of pablum then give her more.

There's only one concern at this age and that's allergies. Make sure to introduce new foods slowly, that way, if there is a reaction, you can pinpoint what caused it.

Don't ever start with fruits, otherwise the potatoes, meat and peas will never be appetizing.

    Good luck and congrats.

Hi thanks for your reply I haven't researched any books as such as I'm not one for reading much lol..

I have been feeding her 3-4 teaspoons of farex of a morning and late in the afternoon she'll have the same amount but only vegies mashed up she seems to love it as she helps me feed her it's so cute and funny
