    How to find cost per equivalent unit if spoiled units are recognized or ignored?
    Direct materials are included in inception of production process
    No beginning inventory
    Direct materials = $310,000 for the month
    Work in process beginning 5000 tons
    Work in process ending 3000 tonds
    1000 spoled as expected
    ending work in process are complete to direct materials costs
    spoilage is not detected until process is complete
