    Metal Clad cable connectors
What kind of connectors do I use on Metal Clad MC cable? I want to tie it into a handy box with 1/2" knockout. I want to use #12 with ground.

Any connector must be rated or listed for MC cable.

Even gets a little more complicated as there is both steel and aluminum jacketed MC cable, and the connector must be rated for that jacket material.

The aluminum rated connector will always be some sort of squeeze clamp, and never a set screw driven into the cable, as aluminum is too soft to handle an set screw.

Also keep in mind, most handy boxes are NOT large enough for more than one cable and typically not enough for any device either.
