    Harbor breeze ceiling fans instructions
I'm trying to install a ceiling fan (obviously), but when I connect the wire for the light it dims as the fan slows in its rotation cycle. Even at max rotation the light is still dim. The wires from the fan are Black/Blue(light)/White(neutral)/Green(ground) ---- from the ceiling (1)Black/(2)White)/(1)Green. No matter what combination I've tried the light is still dim. The previous light fixture (circa 1967) still works fine... any suggestions?

How was the old fixture wired?

What type of control are you using?
