Stain conditioner before staining would have prevented this. Now the stain has SOAKED in unevenly and must be sanded off, its in the wood not on the wood. I would first try to rub the door down with a terry cloth damp with mineral spirits. If the stain has not cured you may get a good amount off, maybe enough for conditioning. |
