    How to fight judgment against you ca
    I just found out a judgement was issued against me as a tenant even though I was only visiting and got caught up in a messy divorce but was only there for a month and did not have any lease agreement

    If you were living there for a month, you could be considered a tenant, and would have been on a month to month verebal with either owner or a subrent from one of the other tennants.

    If you were not served notice of the court hearing, you can ask for it to be set aside for that reason, and then they will most likely refile so you will have to defend.
