    Filing status 53 yourself
I spoke with an attorney and he said I could most likely qualify for a CNC (status 53) until my financial situation gets better. They wanted an extra $3,200 for them to file it. I really think I can do this on my own. I need help in preparation before I actually talk to the IRS. Any helpful answers or suggetsions?

What in the world are you talking about?

What is a CNC? What is status 53? What is your "financial situation"?

A quick search on Yahoo produced the following link which explains "status 53" and "CNC" rather well:

    Status 53 IRS | FSItax.com

As for doing it yourself, you can certainly TRY to do it yourself, but you had better do a lot of research on the procedures before making the attempt
