Tub and shower hot water low pressure
My tub/shower went from having normal hot water pressure to almost NO hot water. It trickles out of the tub faucet and barely comes out of the shower head. I have a Kohler Forte model single faucet. I've read that I should remove the handle plate and clean any debris, but I don't know how to get the plate off. Is this what I should do and, if so, how do I do it? Thanks for the help.

Shut off supply lines first. Here is the installation manual for your unit, page 9 or so should show how to service the cartrdige. http://www.us.kohler.com/onlinecatal.../1103747_2.pdf Once you have the cartidge out tightly hold a towel over the opening for the cartridge and turn the supply lines back on for a few moments to flush line debris. Carfully inspect the inlet port on the cartridges hot side, debris hides there. |
