So I am 19 years old.. I have been with my boyfriend for over a year and we want to spend our lives together...
No I know you must think I'm young and nieve right? Well, our families are happy we are together because in the long run we have literally changed eachothers lives from the lifestyles we use to have. And we are very grateful.
Buuuuut... there is a catch.. .
We don't use protection and there was a time I didn't menstrate for almost 3 months and at first I was scared that I was pregnant.. I went to the doctors a few times and all tests negative. When they would tell me.. I didn't realize that I actually wanted to get pregnant but with all the negativity I began to feel disappointed. Like there was something wrong with me? Well, later on I got my period.. and we talked about it. And decided that we did wnt to have a baby together.

Sooo its been almost 5 months and still no luck.
I even got those stupid ovulation pee sticks to help see when I am ovulating.. and yet.
Still... nothing.

AM I BROKEN OR SOMETHING? I'm almost worried I cannot conceive...

Someone... help? Advice? Please?

So many couples and women expect it to happen right away. It takes up to a year of trying to get pregnant. 85 percent of people are in that range.

When it has been over a year and you want to investigate to see if there is a problem then so be it. Some doctors will wait after the couple has tried to conceive at least two years.

Why not get married first?

I know that's not part of your question but I don't understand why so many people that want to start a family aren't actually willing to become a family first.

Also, it's only been 5 months. Give it another year, year and a half. If it hasn't happened by then then talk to your doctor.

Also, you're really young. Why do you want this now? Why not wait?

My ex-wife and I were together for five years having unprotective sex often. In the sixed year, we had our first and two more easily after that. Actually the timing couldn't have been better. We were in no shape to have children during that first five years together. Sometimes things just happen for a reason.

akgorgous1 disagrees: I think it all depends on if the person is mature enough.. my boyfriend and I have jobs more then one at that... and our own place.. but we are all different. I know I may be young but I'm very mature for my age. I've been taking care of kids since I was 8.

If you're so mature then why didn't you read the rules first? My post was an opinion, not factually incorrect. It's against the rules of this site to give someone a disagree unless the information is factually incorrect.

You agreed to the rules before you signed up. You really should read what you agreed to, that's a mature thing to do.
