    Bank account judgement
I have been told by an attorney that money deposited after the date a judgement has been placed on my account can be withdrawn. Is this true?

    Hello R:

No, it's NOT true. Or maybe it is. I can't tell by your question...

Judgments aren't placed on accounts. Seizure orders are. There probably will be a few days after the judgment has been rendered and before the seizure notice appears at your bank. During that time, the money is still yours.

But, once it's been seized, you don't have any more choices. Well, excepting making sure that no more money goes into that account.

If it were me, I'd take it out of there asap.
