I have a leak in my upstairs bath room
Like others I have a leak in my upstairs bath room. I noticed it would appear to get worst when my 9 year old would take his shower. I tried to hire a plumber but just to look at it he charged me $89.00 and said it would get higher every time he does something until he fix or “find” the problem which could run between $345-$500 dollars, so I decided to cut the ceiling below to see where it was coming from. I’m still not sure where it is coming from but I know it only leaks when I turn on the shower on, so now I make the kids take baths instead, and Its been 3 months no leaks. Can anyone tell me what I can do to fix it or if you have a clue where it maybe coming from?

If it only leaks when the kids use the shower I am thinking bad caulk or shower dorr or curtain not being used properly. Look at both showers and take note of differences in caulking and doors/curtain. Some how the kids can't screw up the lower shower so leave them there until you figure how to undo what they do upstairs.
