    12 gauge wire @ 160 ft with 120 v and 14 amps will it work
    Need to know if the amperage will be enough when it gets to the pump off a 20 amp breaker

    No, 7.5% voltage drop.

    It's the distance that gets you. Can you up the voltage?

    You need at least 10 gauge, to be under 5% voltage drop, but I'd run at least 8 gauge to get below 3% drop. Motors run best at full voltage. I'd hate to burn out a pump.
