    Fanlightcontrolwiring
I am replacing an old switch. It also worked the light & fan but together. It was a push on/off & knob for controlling the fan speed. I would pull the chain to turn the light on. This new switch will control the light separately from the fan. The new controller has 4 wires. Black, Red, Yellow & ground. I have previousley wired the fan without the light direct to the house wiring and it worked fine. Now I have added the light and would like to control it with the switch! HELP!!
This is what I have as far as wiring. To the switch, I have a 3 wire Romax - Black (hot), White (neutral) & ground. I have not connected anything yet.
Fron the fan & light I have 3 wires - Black (motor), Blue (light) & Green (ground). I have not connected anything yet.
There are no other wires at the switch as I have installed the switch box for this purpose only.
I would appreciate anyone out there that can give me a qualified solution. I have tried several things and I know that I am missing something. Thanking you, Mary

You seem to be missing some wires. THe fan doesn't have a neutral?

How was the old switch connected?
