    Credit card debt and pension
    Can a Quebec pension, teacher's pension or Canada Old Age pension be seized for credit card debt?

    It can't be seized in the USA but I am not expert on Canda's laws. I am sure we can keep your post alive and someone else will see it. http://www.bankruptcycanada.com/debtcollectors.htm

    Thank you - the website was very helpful. I've met with a bankruptcy trustee - actually, the best for me is to list my credit card debt with the Quebec court (Voluntary Deposit), and I'll never hear from VISA again. I'll never get credit again but I'll have 1 pension cheque automatically deposited to savings. A new start is lots better than debtor's prison!
