Hi,

I am new to this site but need some advice on where to find assistance for paying rent? I own my home in a mobile home park, but still have to pay them rent in order to keep my home on their property. I have a family of 4 that receives help with medical from the government. We do not qualify for any other services through them, but we are having a hard time keeping up with and paying all of our bills on time. Does anyone know of a place that is helping families in need. I am located in Ohio. I have been to local churches and community action agencies. Also tried the local Job and Family Services department. All have told me there are no funds. I am in need of getting this bill paid or my children will be homeless for Christmas... Someone please help.

You say that you are not qualified for any other services other than medical and yet you have 4 kids in the home? Are you working at a job that provides your family with income? You should be eligible for food stamps, and also help from the County on a monthly basis. Just because you own the mobile home does not disqualify you from getting the help through Jobs and Family Services. Go down to their office and fill out the forms necessary for you to get this help. Aid for Dependent Families.

I stated we are a family of 4. There is myself, my husband and our 2 daughters. I have filled out numerous papers at Jobs and Family services. We managed to get approved for a low amount of food stamps and still just barely make the cut for medical. I have exhausted all options that have been suggested to me.
