    Clear, whitish pubic hair
In the last month while grooming myself I have found clear, whitish pubic hair near my taint. It's only a few (maybe 4-6 hairs) and it's only near my taint and no where else. They're not grayish, I would say, but definitely clear and they're about an inch long. Should I be worried? I'm 28 years old and have not gone gray or have this kind of pigmentation anywhere else.

First, PLEASE, don't use the word "taint". Pubic area would be appreciated. Language like that can sometimes offend people. But anyway, with that being said, I think you're fine.

I'ts probably the same as a blonde person finding a black hair on their head, it's just a few random follicles that decide they weant to be unique. If there's no signs of infection in the area then it's probably safe to assume that either their brand new hairs or they're just different.

Here's a little secret. EVERY person has minor "mutations" so to speak. One persons' ears might be uneven. Maybe their eyes are 2 different colors. Things of this nature are usually nothing to worry about.

But if you start feeling irritation around the area, or under the skin, it might be a good idea to get it checked out.
Otherwise they're probably just innocent little hairs.

    Magpiexwings,

Disregard the moron that answered your question. It has nothing to do with minor mutations or whatever else that person hung up on the word "taint" said. The problem your describing may be a fungal infection of the hair called white piedra. Get some antifungal lotion or spray, it should respond to antifungals against jock itch. It would also help to shave that area, but do not use Nair (sp?). If it reoccurs go to a dermatologist they will give you a stronger Rx. Hope this helps.

ohsohappy - here's an idea stop responding if you don't know what your talking about. And if you are going to respond pay attention to what someone is saying rather then how they are saying it.

Clear sac on pubic hair? [ 4 Answers ]

Hi. I recently shaved my pubic hair and, as always, tweezed some hairs that were hard to shave off.
