Gfci wiring
Can I wire a GFCI outlet after wiring 2 other standard outlets before it on the same circuit?
The line goes from the breaker to a 3 prong to another 3 prong to a GFCI to a normal 3 prong outlet.
Also, if the gfci trips, I am guessing whatever follows it down the line will also be out until the gfci is reset...
Could I just wire all the regular outlets then run a line back to the gfci so it is the last in the line, so if it trips, no other outlets will be affected?

You can install a GFCI receptacle out let at the end of a circuit run. This will protect just this one outlet and will not affect the previous outlets even if it trips. You could also make the GFCI the very first outlet and then, following the instructions on the small yellow tab, protect the rest of the outlets down the line

GFI outlets can be wired to protect down stream outlets for ground faults or the can be wired to not protect down stream outlets. If you don't want the down stream outlets to be protected you can also connect hot and neutral wires coming in and going out of the box with a wire nut and add a pigtail for the GFI outlet.

Depends on where you plan to install your receptacles?

I have a 240 amp line that is powering a hot tub installed before I bought the house. The line comes off the main panel in the house through a 50 amp breaker and is routed through a 30 amp GFCI and then to the tub. Pushing the test button on the GFCI does not trip the GFCI. Likewise, manually...
