    Wireless internet connection
Hi, I am running windows Xp on my lap top. I have a cable wireless internet service with a netgear modem. The problem I am having is the internet connection is dropping consistently. The signal strength is on the status bar always displays "excellent" and status is displays "connected". However the internect connection is always dropping off and going off line. Consistently I let windows repair the connection, it would disconnect, get new IP address etc, I will then be connect and only for the problem to reappear the signal stops again. This is becoming such a strain. Please help.

Check you wireless router, if you are living near others change your wireless channel and check to see how long you are allowing DHCP Leases, set it to the longest time supported.
