Howdy I'billydown and I'm new, I have several holes in my vinyl siding. I have no extra siding to replace it and the color has been discontinued. How can I repair those holes myself?

Depending on what type of holes you have. If they are big holes you can try using a clear silicone caulk. I like the General Electric Silicone II for this kind of patching up. Won't look pretty, but it will do the job keeping the elements out (wind and rain and cold). I use the clear stuff on slits in my siding as well. I had some 2" holes in my siding under the shutters of my home. When I took the shutters down to repaint them I used a couple of tubes of the clear silicone II to fill in the holes. I first put some silicone into the holes as a base and then the next day finished filling the hole in. Still works fine some 3 years later and has not shrunken in.

I run into this situation often.

Since you have little hope of finding an exact match, you can do the following.

Remove a piece of siding from somewhere else on the house that is not readily seen or even seen at all. An example might be under a deck or behind some bushes.

Take that piece of siding to your lumber yard or siding place and find a brand of siding with the same properties. Same height, same length, same rib pattern, and a very similar color. (Be sure and talk to the folks at the store. Most are quite knowledgeable and will help tremendously. )

Take your new piece of siding (which doesn't quite match) and put it in the hidden location. Put the piece that you removed from the hidden area where you are replacing the holes.

Chances are that even the original siding (that you removed from the hidden spot), once replaced, won't match perfectly with the siding surrounding it. This is due to the differences in sun exposure, but it should eventually fade evenly over time.
