    Fan Assisted Oven Smell Of Burning Matches?

    Hi yesterday I was very scared I was cooking some meats in the IGNIS fan assisted oven when all of a sudden I could smell like burning matches it was very strong filled the entire house up with the smell.
    I turned everything off and waited for my partner to come home we scrubbed the oven out we cleaned all inside very good.Then we retryed again and still I got the burning smell again this cooker is a bit old it has been here before us as the house is private you see.

    Any ideas as I have two baby's at home with me whilst my partner works I don't want anything bad happerning too us if I'm to use it again.My partner thinks it might be the grill but I feel like its either a strong like electrical burning smell or like a strong gas smell.
    My partner swore blind he could not smell the smell yesterday but I can and when the oven is turned off you can smell the smell a lot clearer then I don't know why :(
    Please can someone help me as I am very worried I don't have any family around me to help and my partner is working ill not use the oven today I dare not ill use the microwave combi instead to be safe.
