Clearing a record of theft over $5000
Well a little less than a year ago I was charged with theft over $5000 by my employer, the amount that I stole was around $5500 most of which I had returned. The punishment that I was given is that I have to reimburse my employer a total of $3700, 120 hourds community service and a year and a half of probation(also I am being tried as an adult and this is in Canada, Saskatchewan if this info helps at all). As you will notice through my following question I have no knowledge about anything law related so please help me as much as possible. The things that I would like to know are: 1) Is this considered a felony that will leave me with a criminal record? 2) Will this affect my chances to enter university or hinder my choice to pursue a career in medicine? 3)How long will this stay on my criminal record or how do I get my record cleared? 4) I know that I will not be able to enter the U.S. if I have a criminal record but is there a way to be able to clear my record in the U.S. as well without relying on a waiver for entry?

    2. it will make it harder to get into many colleges.

2a. Medical career is out of the question

    3. It is on your record forever
