    Can't play CDs
I have a Sony Xplod CDX-F5500. For the past 4 years I have found Verbitm CD's the best to burn my mp3 files using Nero. They have been playing well until recently a lot of skipping etc. Tried to used a cd lens cleaner, worked a few times but that's it. Now it doesn't play MP3 CD's at all! Not even my old ones. Error and spits it out! It now only plays SOME audio CD's. HAs the laser on the stero gone? But why would it play some audios but not mp3 cd's at all? (just ordered a maxell automotive cd laser lens cleaner (dry), not available in uk, getting it from USA, hope it works)?. :(

Try the following things in order:

    1. What is your CD/DVD drive speed? e.g. is it 48x, 52x, 12x etc.. If it is 48x like mine for example, then DO NOT burn MP3'S onto the CD in 48x, use at least the lower speed than that.

    2. If the first didn't work then Ddnt use Nero for burning, use a program called Ashampoo 6, or even better use Windows Media Player 9 (If you have the older version. If not then use the one you have.

    3. If the first 2 didn't work, then find out from your manual, if your drive actually does support MP3'S and also check which brands and which type of CD's the drive can play with MP3, e.g. CD-R or CD+R or CD-RW.

    4. If nothing works, then private message me and ill suggest other things. The first 2 should work.
