    What should I do until my Doctors Appt?
    I have a Doctors appointment in the of January. I have a problem with my sciatic nerve and it causes some pain and also spasms. I do pilates 5 days a week and use the tredmill 6 days a week (incline and running). My workouts don't feel the same and I know that I'm not getting the results I should anymore because of my sciatic nerve problem. What should I do until my doctors appointment?:confused:

    Why is the appointment so far out? Is there anyway to get something sooner?

    Occasionally my sciatic nerve will act up too. If it's really bad, I'll take some advil and relax with a heating pad for awhile. But if this is a regular problem, you really need to try getting into a dr sooner. It can get worse.

    Is going to a neighboring town or city to see a dr sooner an option for you?

    Keep moving as much as you can with pain relief and get medical help to check to see if there is anything further can be done :)

    majika, can I ask where your advice is coming from? I only wonder because a friend of mine's mom suffers from a lot of sciatic nerve pain and she was actually on bed rest for some time and had to do physical therapy. Moving as much as you can and resting are sort of dead opposites. But if movement is best maybe that's why my friend's mom never seemed to fully recover.
