    Make x the subject

    ((Ax2)/b) + x = d

    Multiply everything by b to remove fractions;



    Now factorise a



    Divide by a:



    Complete the square:





    Add the b^2/4a^2 to both sides;



    Take square root:



    Subtract b/2a;





    Of course, there is a shortcut, but I want to show how you do without a formula.
