    Sick puppy
I have a litter of 7 pups, 6wks old. I went to check on them and mom as I always do around 9:30 pm and one of them was vomiting and shivering. Brought her in the house to try to keep her warm. She drank some water and vomited it up within 30 minutes. None of the other pups seem to have any symptoms. All seem fine. I ran to a grocery store that is open until midnight and grabbed gatorade and pedialyte(it is flavored and has splenda-not sure if good for her) tried to get her to take some of the gatorade but she refuses. She has vomited 3 times since 9:30, it is now 1am. I am devistated. I don't know what to do for her. I don't think it is parvo, because other pups are fine-but then I can't be sure. Some one please help. I am afraid she is going to die. She is curled up in a blanket right now shivering.

It was my plan to get her to the vet during business hours. I just wanted to get her through the night. And I did, thankfully. She was extremely lethargic, she was out cold and floppy. I could not rouse her. She was extremely hot so I knew she had a fever. I was afraid of dehydration first and foremost, but did not trust the pedialyte or gatorade so just did the best I could to cool her body as I would for my children. By some miracle it worked. I cooled her with a washcloth wet with warm water and eventually she came round. She crawled up next to me, snuggled up and went back to sleep. At 5am she was licking my face, tugging on the blanket and wagging her tail! She and her littermates will be going to the vet first thing today. Thank you for the advice. I am grateful that someone responded.

I adopted a puppy from our local pound two days ago. He's about nine weeks old. At first, he was relatively playful, ate a bit (although not as much as I though he should), pooped once (solid) and seemed generally okay except for a hacking cough. I brought him to the vet yesterday, and he was found...
