    Please could someone help me with this question


    Would you expect to find analogous complexes if aluminium was replaced by an alkali metal in k3{al(c2o4)3}?

    You'll be well-served by using correct elemental names. The first letter is always capitalized. There are no exceptions. If you use all lower case, there can be confusion.



    So, you want to know if you would expect an analogous substance by replacing the Al with another metal. The answer is, "No." C2O4 is oxalate. Oxalate binds to many metals, but not to alkali metals.

    Transition metals will react with chelants. The answer is "probably yes".
