First time sex. Is something wrong with me?
This is going to be long but I can't help it I'm only sixteen and I'm really freaked out. My boyfriend and I have been together a year and on our one year anniversary we lost our virginity to each other. And that was three days after my period. He used a condom with spermacide and barely got in me cause it was hurting me and I'm very small framed. He also said there was no way I'm pregnant because he said that he never even came close to ejackulating. A few days after we had sex I had some dark brown discharge for about a week and a half. I don't really have any pregnancy signs but I haven't had a period yet and its been about a month and a half since we had sex. I really don't know what to do but I'm really freaked out. Anything would be helpful. Thank you.

My opinion is you are not pregnant. I'm thinking the discharge is just dried blood from when you lost your virginity.

All I can say is be careful. If you are not ready to have kids, then you shouldn't be having sex. No matter how much protection you use, it still could happen, so that's something you for you to consider for next time.

Use a more reliable method of birth control if you decide to become sexually active.

I don't agree that people should not have sex if they don't want kids. They should be prepared for the possibility, and be ready to make some difficult decisions. But that is ridiculous that you shouldn't have sex unless you want a kid.

Yes, of course there is plenty of sperm in the early fluid. And of course condoms have about a 3 percent failure when used perfectly and about 10 percent as normally used.

Good point. This reminds me that my SIL just admitted that 3 of her 4 children were conceived while using nothing but condoms.

Being small framed has little to do with it. Sex for the first couple of times is often uncomfortable but its not because of your bone structure. Since it was 3 days after your period, you're not necessarily close to your fertile period, but sperm can live inside a woman's body for up to 5 days.

he also said there was no way I'm pregnant because he said that he never even came close to ejackulating.
Pre-ejaculation contains sperm and he would not be aware if any came out, especially if he was also a virgin.

I agree with the previous statement that the brown is "old blood" from the physical trauma of having sex. Not having your period yet could be because you're SO young. Most girls won't fall into a consistent pattern of menstration until they're older than you are now.

You must realize that THIS is why adults encourage kids as young as you to abstain from sex. When you don't know basics about conception and sex itself, it causes you more pain and stress... not to mention what could result from it like pregnancy and STDs. Be careful in the future

Hi there is no way your vagina was too small, you can have babies through there. I'm sure it was uncomfrotable and it hurt, heck it was the first time. After a while you'll get "used to it"... but that won't be till later [advising teens to have sex is a "no no"].

Just reading your post makes me think how unprepared for sex you are.

I remember when I was a teen I used to think I could get pregnant from oral sex-- haha as you grow up you learn.

From now on hold up on sex and lear more about it on:
Sex, Etc. -- Sex Education by Teens, for Teens

I think it's a good site for teens to go on and learn about sex and different methods of contraception and learn that you can't get pregnant from oral sex ;)

    ...well that just my opinion
