Dripping Noise w/ Shower & Hard Rain
Hello. Our master bedroom is on the second floor of our home. When we turn on the shower or fill the sink with hot water, I hear a "dripping" noise. I had a plumber out and he said it was just the pipes expanding and hitting the bedroom wall. I'm worried that it may be more since I also hear this same "dripping" noise (in the same wall between the shower and bedroom) when we have a very hard rain outside. In fact, the first day following our move into the house we had a torential downpour and water leaked from the second story onto the ceiling in our kitchen (which is just below our master bathroom) and settled by the kitchen light fixture. That was over a year ago, but I'm worried it may happen again. Do you think these are two separate issues, or do you think it's the same? The previous owners of the house had to replace the ceiling in our master bedroom because the wind blew off shingles which resulted in water damage. Could this be the case? Thanks for your help!
