Shower leaking inside the walls

Our shower is on the top floor of our townhouse. We noticed today that the ceiling on the floor below it has water stains on it and is soft in spots. Our assumption is that the shower is leaking inside the walls. Any advice on how to solve this or fix it? Thanks.
Painting walls black

I did not prime the wall before painting it black. I have put 3 coats on. The paint is thick and seems to go on uneven. How do I get a more even coat? Can I thin the paint?:cool:
