Change me from whoopi/Brandi to ashanti/Eve
Hello everyone I'm from the UK and I'm new to this forum.
I'd like to introduce myself to you all and ask a question if I may.
I have no idea how this Sossa guy achieved such a dramatic look. But I would like to take some tips from you all on how I could at least become more light brown. I like the colour of Ashanti (I think that's how you spell her name?) but now I'm thinking maybe an even lighter tone is achievable, looking at this guy it seems that it is (wow!). Maybe I can do what he did, but not go crazy? BUT to begin with I'd like to go from a Brandi/whoopi colour to an Ashanti/Eve colour. What could I use? And will I have to use it for the rest of my life?:)
    Thanks in advance!

I don't know if you could do what he did because I think he used something strong that is meant to DEPIGMENT the skin. Not lighten it. Lightening your skin is a dedicated process. We'll definitely help you if you have any questions! And from Brandi to Ashanti... That is DEFINITELY achievable! And it's a very realistic goal! Have you tried anything as of yet? Or are you a complete newbie?

Thanks for your reply Brown Deceit.
Compared to the people on this forum I'd say I'm a newbie! The only thing I tried for a while was Fair and lovely whilst living in the Middle East. But I'm not sure if it was my imagination but it seemed to make me darker? I've been reading posts on this AMHD before finally registering and I noticed Hydroquinone came up a lot so because of that I bought a 4% tube over the net, but it hasn't arrived yet. I'm a bit nervous about using it though because I read in a few places that it can give you stretch marks and people have talked about their hands becoming black? So I'm confused about the mixed reviews. There is such a wealth of info but I'm not sure where to begin really.
Do you think you could give me a method/recipe to stick to? And will I need to do it 4ever?
By the way the last part of your reply gave me so much hope, thanks.:)

Welcome Mary Bright, I agree with BrownDeceit that your goal is attainable. If you use retin-a (tretinoin) along with hydroquinone this will give you the best results, help the skin to exfoliate and produce more collagen. In my opinion, hq should be temporary only and then switch to something else. Use a good sunblock spf 60 or higher daily to avoid the skin from darkening. Once you stop using lighteners, your skin will redarken because they are all temporary.

Steroid-based products will definitely give you stretch marks, so stay clear away from them.

Thanks for the info Golden Girl. I will Google this retin-a and see what comes up. I'm so happy I have a chance to change. I mean it's so easy for white people to get a tan if they feel like a change from the milky white look. So I'm so happy there is some justice in the world lol.
