    How to produce more milk
OK so this is week 3 breast feeding chloe and I really don't think I am producing enough for her, I have done the nursing her more often, and I make sure to keep her awake so she finishes eating. But my milk supply is not increasing, I was told by the doc to supplement 2 feedings a day with formula which I hate, and now she's getting even hungrier and I'm getting very discourged, I want to nurse my baby and get her off the disgusting formula, but I need to know how to increase my milk any pointers?

Only going on my own experience with breast feeding, the supple and demand theory,I pumped milk between feed...

Make sure you are eating enough, breast milk needs lots of calories, and burns lots of calories... healthy diet, healthy breast milk...

Your baby is beautiful and you look really happy...

If you do decide to pump as well, I suggest you get the best one you can afford... seriously, there worth their weight in gold!

Thanks! My husband bought me a medela pump and I've been fooling around with is, and I don't seem to get much out like less than an ounce

Keep the breast milk you pump and feed the baby with it,that may seem obvious but I've known women who have thrown it out..

Talk to your nurse, see what she has to say..

I don't see J-9 on the boards,to offer her words of wisdom, but there are lots of women here who can give you really helpful and useful advice... keep a check on your thread for other posts.
