    Change a cilds name
    I have a 9 year old daughter who wonts to change her surname to my new married name. She still have contact with her father. She has asked him and he said no. She asks me nearly every day to change it how do I stand and what can I do

    You may petition to the Court for changing her last name but you will have to prove that this change is in child's best interest and it will not sever the relationship between your daughter and her father... I have no doubt that if her father resists to that change of her last name,the Court will not allow it.
