    Connecting 2 Applicances with 2200 watts combined
    I have 2 appliances, 1 1000 Watts and the other 1200 watts. Can I run both off a 20 AMP circuit using 12 or 14 gauge wire with the first connection on a GFI.

    Maybe. What are the appliances? Is the voltage 120 V?

    I = (1000+1200)/120 = 18.33 A

    12 AWG would be fused at 20 Amps.

    But, need to know what the appliances are, especially if they are space heating.
