    F350 Diesel overheating
My 2006 F350 diesel overheats when towing very small loads (5000 lbs). What are the possible problems?

I've worked with ranchers who haul 13 head of cattle to market in 100 degree+ weather and their F-350s don't overheat. I get them to use Mobil 1 full-synthetic products in their transmissions and engines. It definitely helps them run cooler. Remember, transmissions cool through the radiator; therefore, anything you can do to reduce transmission temperature reduces the load on the cooling system.
