How can I get rid of my overian cyst without getting sugery?
I too I have an ovarian cyst, I am 23 yrs old and I have had mine for 2 yrs now, I had gone to mexico to see a gynecologist and he had given me some medicine and he had to told me that would help it go away the cyst is not even that big and at times it hurts and I feel uncomfortable, and there are nights where I can't sleep. Now I want to start eating healthier, and start exercising a lot more, AND he also said that having a lot of sex would help out too... and that hasn't! Now I haven't had my period since last month witch was October and it only lasted for like 2 days. I was taking because but I had to stop. I though it was going to regulate my period and it never did. What I'm getting at is that I don't want to get sugery I don't have insurance and I just don't want to go through that all I'm too scared to be honest every time I think of it I just can't help just to cry and I just get even more depressed. So if anyone has advice please I would appreciate the help! Thank you! :)

My best advice would be to go to another doctor. This one is giving you false information. Having sex, for example, has nothing to do with ovarian cysts!

Ovarian cysts are important to take care of. Some will go away on their own, over time. Others will require surgery. They are very common and can actually be known to happen with each cycle, but most get flushed away with your period.

Since you are experiencing pain and your periods are becoming irregular, I suggest you get a second opinion from a quailified GYN. You want to be able to determine what type of cyst this is so you know what treatments are correct. Not all can "go away" with exercise, diet, and pills.

In case you do need surgery, you should know that in most cases, its not only a common outpatient procedure, but requires only small incisions (my sister had this done). Others, like mine, can develop into cancer - but this is VERY rare, so don't concern yourself too much. (My case was a 1 in 8,000,000 situation). Be safe, rather than sorry.
