Post exact brand and model number of thermostat. Ts4275 not listed. Where is the company that installed your new heat pump? They should be responsible for proper operation. Also post outside unit model number and the inside unit brand and model numbers. I can try and pull up a wiring diagram

here is a complete manual for your model thermostat.

    http://www.white-rodgers.com/wrdhom/.../0037-6914.pdf

Your indoor unit model number meaning

    A Single Piece E Multi-Position Variable-Speed Painted Flowrator (AEPF)

This means you have a variable speed unit.

Here is a copy of your complete install manual. NOTE this is a multi unit manual so look for your model number to get the exact specs/info.

    http://www.hvacpartsshop.com/asc%20series.pdf

Now you have all the info available to trouble shoot your unit.

NOTE: Variable speed units need special tools to setup properly. You also have to be trained to use those tools properly. Since this is the case I would call back whoever installed the unit for you since damage can happen to the unit by persons who have no idea exactly what they are doing. I say this also so your warranty is not void on the new unit.
